A "screen cap" is a simple term for capturing the exact screen you are looking at on your computer to use later in a document or email. By catching the screen you can put it in files, emails, power points, etc. Here are directions to create and save a "screen cap":
  1. Hold down the "ALT" key and press the "Print Scrn" key. "Print Scrn" is the first of 3 buttons to the right of the function keys located along the top of your keyboard. This saves an image of the active window onto the clipboard.
Note: The clipboard can only hold ONE (1) image at a time. You must paste each screen capture BEFORE taking additional screen captures.
  2. Open the file in which you want to place the screen capture.
  3. Position your cursor where you want to place the screen capture.
  4. Go to the FILE menu and select PASTE. The image will now appear in the location you specified.

  2. Choose Capture > Screen.
  3. When the Screen Grab dialog opens, click outside that window.
